The assessment will ask questions related to the following categories:

• Community Stakeholders
• Risk Assessment
• Behavioral Assessment/emotional security measures
• physical security
• policy and procedures
• Emergency preparedness

Please allow ample time to complete the application in one comprehensive session without interruption because answers cannot be saved to continue or return to at a later date and/or time.

Once the application is completed and passed with a score of 80% or higher, schools will receive a letter of recognition from the National Sheriff’s Association to validate their efforts in implementing and maintaining school safety, security, and emergency preparedness practices.
